How to Measure and Install Replacement Layers

 
MEASURING
IMPORTANT!  Correctly measuring replacement layers is extremely important and must be accurate.  Write down your measurements.  Replacement layers cannot be ordered online -- you must call to order.

Model 100 (click image to enlarge)

Width:

A. Measure batten width from end to end.

B. Measure inside edge of track to inside edge of track.

C. Measure outside edge of track to outside edge of track.

D. Measure outside of bracket to outside of bracket.

Length:

E. Measure bottom of bracket to window sill or floor (if it's a door)

 

Model 400

INSTALLATION
Model 100 (end brackets are 4"h X 5"w)
  1. Lower shade to sill or floor
     
  2. Unroll fabric on take-up roller
     
  3. Remove the fabric clips
     
  4. Bend the batten stop on mounting brackets back so batten can clear it
     
  5. Raise shade by pulling the fabric over the seal roller until batten reaches the top of track
     
  6. Remove the seal roller by lifting on one side then the other
     
  7. Gently guide the fabric out of the track guides one side at a time
     
  8. Take the new fabric and carefully thread the end of the quilt side cord on one side into the top of the track guide about 2. Make sure it does not snag on the track guide. Now thread the other side.
     
  9. Gently lower about 6
     
  10. Replace the seal roller and lower shade to sill or floor
     
  11. Attach top of shade to take up roller with the fabric clips
     
  12. Raise and lower the shade slowly with the pull cord
     
  13. If it does not raise all the way you may need to add a few wraps of pull cord to the take up pulley
     

Model 400 (end brackets are 6"h X 4"w)

  1. Lower shade to sill or floor
     
  2. Unroll fabric on take-up roller
     
  3. Remove the fabric clips
     
  4. Loosen the bottom bracket screw on the pull cord side
     
  5. Slide the bottom of the bracket out and remove the seal roller
     
  6. Raise shade by pulling the fabric over the take up roller until batten reaches the top of track
     
  7. Gently guide the fabric out of the track guides one side at a time
     
  8. Take the new fabric and carefully thread the end of the quilt side cord on one side into the top of the track guide about 2". Make sure it does not snag on the track guide. Now thread the other side.
     
  9. Gently lower about 6"
     
  10. Replace the seal roller, slide bracket into place and tighten screw
     
  11. Wind take up roller so pull cord is wound on pulley (make sure cord comes off top of pulley)
     
  12. Attach top of shade to take up roller with the fabric clips
     
  13. Raise and lower the shade slowly with the pull cord
